Absorbent Fine Pine (AFP)

AFP will soak up most industrial and domestic spills, from motor oil to a bucket of paint. AFP is super absorbent and adds traction quickly for the clean up of liquid spills. For safety and convenience and for a no-fuss, chemical free clean up, always have a supply at the ready in your warehouse, workshop or garage.

AFP’s natural absorbency and all-natural odour control, make it the perfect choice in kitty litter trays and as a base for horse stable bedding.

For garden composting, AFP  is the ideal “brown” component which is necessary for the decomposition process. Use it to add carbon to your mix in order to balance the nitrogen content of the “green” materials. AFP, with it’s absorptive qualities, also works well to wick up water from rain and other liquids including those produced by the “green” materials, that might otherwise go sludgy. All of these qualities contribute to the composting process.

Our AFP will work well as a carbon-based bulking agent in composting toilets. The sawdust will assist the waste materials attain the right level of density and heat in order to promote and speed up the composting process. It will also act as a cover material for the excreta in order to help absorb excess liquids and pungent odours.
